Judeo-Spanish has evolved for more than five centuries since the expulsion of the Jews of the Iberian Peninsula. This symposium looks to engage in dialogue to explore the multifaceted aspects of Diaspora through variable changes from the time of the Sephardic expulsion through the 21st century.

Call for Papers:

Abstracts can be submitted from October 25, 2012 until December 17, 2012.

This symposium will focus on creating dialogue within a multi-disciplinary field that may further explore the many facets of 'Judeo-Spanish.' As such, ucLADINO invites proposals from advanced undergraduate students and graduate students on Judeo-Spanish literary, cultural or linguistic topics. Proposals are invited for individual and group papers/panels. Individual papers will be presented by one (or more) authors within a twenty minute period, followed by a brief discussion. Abstracts should include your name, institutional affiliation, email address, any audio-visual requirements, proposed paper title and a 150 word abstract, attached as an MS Word or PDF document.
