The University of Central Lancashire, Cyprus cordially invites you to
attend the forthcoming colloquium on
‘Language Policy’

Language issues in language policy in Cyprus as well as language policy
in Cypriot-Greek education will be discussed during the colloquium.

19.00 – 19.30 “Towards a pedagogy of variation: the new Language Curriculum
of Cyprus” Dr Stavroulla Tsiplakou, Associate Professor (Open University
of Cyprus)
19.30 – 20.00 “Plurilingualism: a challenge for literacy teaching” Dr
Georgios Tsiakalos, Professor (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki),
Chairman of the Committee for the formation of new school curricula in
Cyprus
