CREATe Deputy Director, Prof. Philip Schlesinger, is chairing the next
seminar<http://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/cca/research/ccpr/newsandevents/headline_277947_en.html>in
the Basque Fellowship series, organized by
CCPR <http://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/cca/research/ccpr/home/> on 21 May 2013,
which will reflect on how both minority and majority languages media are
adapting to rapid changes in the current digital multichannel environment,
as well as to changes in audiences’ viewing and consumption patterns.
With a focus on Gaelic, and attendance by leading academic experts and
communicators from Scotland, Ireland, and the Basque Country, the debate
will centre on the most salient sociolinguistic features of the new
communication landscape and the place language policy has in this new media
context.
