Almazbek Atambayev: Development of language policy is important part of
Kyrgyzstan’s Sustainable Development Strategy

The Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev received the Chairman of the
National State Language Commission Egemberdi Ermatov. The Information
Policy Department of the President’s Office reported.
According to him, they discussed inclusion of the Kyrgyz language
development and language policy improvement program for 2014-2020 into the
agenda of the session of the National Council on Sustainable Development.
Almazbek Atambayev charged Egemberdi Ermatov with organization of public
discussions of the draft document and putting it for consideration of the
council in the nearest future. The President noted that, the development of
state language and its policy is an important part of the Sustainable
Development Strategy of the country.
