BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court has ordered notice to the state
government in response to a petition filed by Grace Education Society,
which runs Grace public school at Bommanakatte, Bhadravati in Shivamogga
district.

The school is seeking refund of Rs 50,000 it had deposited as per the
'voluntary scheme' in terms of April 12,2007 government order upon which it
was granted recognition as English medium school from May 2010..

Citing the judgments of the high court as well as Apex court in the
language policy matter, the school has claimed that the voluntary scheme
stood cancelled and the money it had deposited had to be refunded.
