I don't recall seeing this resource linked on here before, so here goes:

It was launched in 2011, based on work by students and staff at SOAS. The main blurb is:
"Language Landscape is a tool for mapping where languages are spoken around the
world. Click on the markers to hear recordings of languages spoken in those locations."
It's clearly still very much in its infancy, but all the more reason to spread the
word and contribute more data (with consent of course).
