Govt forms panel to draft official language policy
PANAJI: The state government has formed a committee, headed by professor
Edward De Lima, to prepare the draft for the official language policy. The
policy will specify the use of languages considering the spirit of Official
Language Act.

Tanaji Halarnkar, Kanta Patnekar, Paresh Prabhu and Pundalik Naik will be
some of the other members on the panel. The tenure of the committee will be
for a period of three months or till the completion of the policy.
