US ambassador learns Welsh ahead of Nato summit

*31 August 2014* Last updated at 11:09 BST

In advance of President Barack Obama's visit to Wales for the 2014 NATO
Summit, US ambassador Matthew Barzun has been learning Welsh.

He can be seen rehearsing a welcome speech and even manages to successfully
pronounce the name of the Anglesey village
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, which is the
longest place name in Britain.

The two-day summit at Newport's Celtic Manor Resort on 4-5 September will
be attended by 150 world leaders.
