We are pleased to announce that as of 2016, the journal Linguistic Approaches to Bilingualism will increase the number of issues it will publish each year from four to six. In addition, from 2016 all articles will be made available via OnlineFirst.

LAB provides an outlet for cutting-edge, contemporary studies on bilingualism, assuming a broad definition of bilingualism, including: adult L2 acquisition, simultaneous child bilingualism, child L2 acquisition, adult heritage speaker competence, L1 attrition in L2/Ln environments, and adult L3/Ln acquisition. It solicits high quality articles of original research assuming any cognitive science approach to understanding the mental representation of bilingual language competence and performance, including cognitive linguistics, emergentism/connectionism, generative theories, psycholinguistic and processing accounts, and covering typical and atypical populations.

For more information concerning types of articles as well as the details of earlier issues, please consult the journal's website at: https://benjamins.com/#catalog/journals/lab/main

All inquiries as well as all submissions should be sent to: editorial at labjournal.org
