TN government’s language policy opposed


Members of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike staged a dharna here on Thursday,
in protest against the new language policy of the Tamil Nadu government,
according to which Tamil will be the first language in Kannada-medium
schools in Talawadi hobli, bordering Chamarajanagar district.

The protestors said, Kannada-speaking students were facing difficulties
with the Tamil Nadu government’s order that made learning of Tamil
