‘Hindi has a key role in national integration’

Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Ashok Kumar said Raj Bhasha (Hindi)
played an important role in national integration, and according to the
official language Policy, implementation of Hindi was a must in all Central
government offices.

Addressing the 51st meeting of the Vijayawada Town Official Language
Implementation Committee (TOLIC) here on Thursday, he said the
responsibility lay with officials to bring about a radical change by
implementing the policy. Such meetings play a vital role in the
implementation of Hindi as the official language, he added.

N.S.R. Prasad, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada; S.
Chiranjeevi, Member Secretary, TOLIC and Raj Bhasha Adhikari, Vijayawada
Division and other heads of various Central government offices,
undertakings and corporations participated in the meeting.

Welcoming the gathering, Additional Divisional Railway Manager N.S.R.
Prasad highlighted the importance of TOLIC meeting. Member Secretary of
TOLIC S. Chiranjeevi spoke on the occasion.
