Description:

University of Texas at El Paso.  The Department of Psychology invites applications for two open-rank faculty positions. Both appointments are scheduled to start in the Fall 2016 semester. Position 1: Social or Cultural Psychology, broadly defined. Contact Michael A. Zarate, socialsearch at utep.edu.  Position 2: Bilingualism or Second Language Acquisition. Applicants with cognitive, developmental, or neuropsychological approaches are especially encouraged to apply. Contact Wendy S. Francis, wfrancis at utep.edu. Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Psychology; published research; potential to attract external funding; and the ability to teach and direct research. Application Procedure: Interested candidates should submit a curriculum vitae; statement of research interests and qualifications; statement of teaching philosophy, and relevant reprints or pre-prints (no more than three). Applicants at the assistant professor level should request three letters of reference to be submitted!
  by e-mail; more advanced applicants should send the names of three people who could provide letters of reference. Review of applications will start January 5. We will consider new applications until the position is closed. Hiring decisions are based upon budget approval.
