Says it would lead to imposition of Hindi
The PMK has criticised the CBSE’s proposed three-language policy, saying it
would lead to the imposition of Hindi and Sanskrit.
In a statement issued from the party’s headquarters, the PMK said that
bringing back public examination for Class X standard would be be an extra
workload for students. Asking them to pick up an extra language would be a
burden.
The PMK also said extending the three-language policy, which is offered
only up to the eighth standard, could lead to the sidelining of the mother
tongue.
