Public Order Police have been deployed to the University of Pretoria to
ensure no further disruptions
<http://ewn.co.za/2016/02/29/Cops-keeping-strict-watch-at-Tuks>to the
academic programme.
EWN's Barry Bateman on Monday reported that there had been no violent
disruptions on campus, despite the EFF Student Command (EFFSC) vowing to
continue the fight over the language policy.
Classes were suspended last week over protests calling for Afrikaans to be
scrapped as a medium of instruction.

— Barry Bateman, EWN Reporter
There is a significant police presence at just about every one of the
entrances.
— Barry Bateman, EWN Reporter
Meanwhile, EFFSC chairperson Kabelo Mahlobogwane said that the party has
never instigated violence, but only defended themselves in the absence of
protection from campus security.
