In the rush by Gerry Adams to concoct his list of demands he has left his
handpicked spokesperson, Michelle O’Neill, floundering to answer basic
questions about the Irish Language Act.

The demand for this act is on Sinn Fein’s posters and election literature.

Yet they aren’t sure what they want in it or how much it will cost.

It costs tens of millions to implement the Irish language policy in the
Republic of Ireland. It costs tens of millions to implement the Welsh
language policy in Wales.

Sinn Fein started this campaign feigning concern for the public finances
but the reality is the opposite.

They left with no budget produced.

They left with £600m in the 2017/18 budget put at risk, half of which could
come from our health services. They now present an uncosted demand for an
Irish Language Act.

Sinn Fein has added fantasy policy to fantasy economics with no care for
the consequences or realities of our situation.
