Dimapur, February 26 (MExN): The second biannual meeting of Dimapur TOLIC
(Town Official Language Implementation Committee) was held at ARTC&S,
Dimapur under the chairmanship of Brig Gurjap Singh, Comdt ARTC & S on
February 23.
It was stated here in a press release that a total of 39 members of Central
Government offices situated in Dimapur attended the meet. Maj Bhavana
Sharma, Secretary, TOLIC addressed the meeting through her welcome speech
while Naib Subedar (Hindi Translator) Deshraj of ARTC&S gave a detailed
brief on various aspects of the TOLIC meet. Representative members of
various government offices presented their inputs and reports on their
progress on implementation of Rajbhasha Hindi in their respective sectors.
After assessing the progress on implementation of Hindi in Central
Government Offices in Dimapur, Brig Gurjap Singh stressed upon importance
of progressive use of Hindi and exhorted all members to implement the
policies issued by the Government of India regarding publicity and
implementation of the official language policy. The Commandant also
emphasized on how motivational steps can be resorted for implementation of
Hindi by means of incentives and appreciations in all Central Government
Offices.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant applauded the efforts of the
members of TOLIC Dimapur for their keen efforts on wide publicity of the
official language. During the meeting, importance of progressive use of
Hindi in Central Government offices was highlighted and all members were
requested to implement Hindi incentive schemes introduced by the Government
of India, in their respective offices.
In order to enhance the spirit of healthy competition amongst the offices
of Central Government, TOLIC Shield Scheme 2016-2017 was introduced. In
which offices were adjudged as first, second and third in order of their
dedicated efforts on implementation of official Language Policy. Office of
the Chief Engineer, Sevak Project, Food Corporation of India, Regional
Office, Dimapur and Office of DIG, Range,CRPF, Khatkhati were awarded
First, Second and Third positions respectively. 11 Tactical Air Centre, 173
Bn CRPF, No 1 Maint Group Assam Rifles, Headquarters 6 Sector Assam Rifles
and 32 Assam Rifles were also given Commendation Certificate for their good
work in the field of official language implementation.
In the end, valuable suggestions and feedback point on implementation of
Rajbhasha Hindi was invited by the Secretary Maj Bhavana Sharma and the
same were addressed and discussed in the meet.
