The Constitutional Court of Ukraine has recognized the law "On the
foundations of the state language policy" No. 5029-6 (the so-called
Kivalov-Kolesnichenko law) as unconstitutional, the party of Svoboda
All-Ukrainian Union has said.
The relevant decision was taken by the court on February 28, 2018, the
press service of the Svoboda party reported on Wednesday.
"Today, the last meeting of the Constitutional Court on the initiative and
representation of the Svoboda party activists about the recognition of the
scandalous law of Kivalov-Kolesnichenko has recognized it as
unconstitutional," the press service quotes the leader of the Svoboda party
Oleh Tiahnybok as saying.
