International Congress "Language Policy of Commonwealth of Independent
States (CIS) Countries" Opens in Minsk

The III International Congress "Language Policy of the CIS countries" in
Minsk is attended by scientists, writers, authors of textbooks and teaching
aids, specialists in education and linguistics, as well as representatives
of about 25 higher institutions of the CIS countries. They exchange
opinions and proposals on the harmonization of the language situation in
the CIS countries, as well as on the development of a modern dialogue of
languages of the peoples of the CIS countries. The event was organized by
Rossotrudnichestvo together with the Moscow and Minsk Linguistic
Universities.
