The 2001 issue of Studies in American Humor will be a special issue on
popular culture edited by Judith Yaross Lee. Topics can include (but are
not
limited to): cartoons (animated, narrative, or gag), graffiti, newspaper
and
magazine columns, film, television, performance humor, radio or sound
recordings, folklore, and Internet humor. Papers should be approximately
5000-8000 words in length and be prepared in MLA style. Black and white
illustrations can be accommodated; contributors are responsible for
obtaining and paying for any permissions. Submissions should be received
by
January 15, 2001. Address all inquiries about and submissions for this
