Yes, this an example of the same sort of conceptual difficulty that has been
noticed in some other recent postings regarding the notion of creolization
--- problems of partial incommensurablity that arise when concepts or terms
are borrowed from one discipline or intellectual tradition into another. The
problem with the notion of 'hybridity' as borrowed from biology is that it
presupposes a related notion of 'species'.
