Virus

Sue, I think it's a question of economy and ecology ;-). Attachments in
binary format waste a lot of bandwidth. There are many people still (?)
using slow modems from home. To me, sending large files to large numbers
of people defeats the purpose of quick, efficient, cheap communication. In
distribution lists, I think managers should have the responsibility to
upload files to a common website. So, list members could send attachments
to the list manager. People don't need to know how to upload, but most of
us know how to download: you just have to type an URL in your browser.

But it's just my personal opinion. I know that viruses are accidental
things, and nobody is to blame.

Best,
-celso
