     Here's another possibility for undergrad courses: my just-published
book, Invitations to Love:Literacy, Love Letters, and Social Change in
Nepal, University of Michigan Press.  It's about literacy practices, the
cultural construction of emotion, gender and marriage, development
discourse, and social transformation.  A lengthier description of the
