Department of Anthropology
The Department of Anthropology at Saint Mary's
University seeks to make a contractually-limited
appointment in the sub-field of linguistics.
Although this appointment is for one academic year, the
position is a tenure-track and will be filled as a
probationary appointment in 2002 at the rank of
Assistant Professor. The position is open to all
qualified applicants, although preference will be given
to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. or be near completion.
Those who anticipate being considered for the tenure-
track position should demonstrate a strong potential
for research and publication along with a visible
commitment to undergraduate teaching.
The position is topically open, but preference will be
given to candidates with fieldwork-based research in
Northern Canada.
