George Washington University, Department of Anthropology, seeks a linguistic anthropologist for a half-time, three semester position beginning Jan 1, 2003 through May 31, 2004. PhD and teaching experience strongly preferred. Successful candidates will be prepared to teach courses that include an introductory lecture course on language, culture and society; a graduate seminar in linguistic anthropology, and an advanced undergraduate courses in linguistic anthropology. Successful candidates will be also invited to make use of the Discourse Lab, an advanced facility for the video analysis of spoken interaction, for teaching and research.
