Linganth Subscribers,
Quite frequently, Linganth subscribers abandon e-mail accounts,
either temporarily or permanently, without unsubscribing from the
Linganth list. This generates error messages that get e-mailed to my
account for each failed delivery (NOT one error message per posting,
but an error message for each failed delivery to a specific
invalid/problematic recipient for each posting). Many accounts,
especially hotmail and yahoo accounts, quickly reach their storage
limits when not read regularly, and start causing overflow messages
that come to me.
Please note the following:
1) If I get bounced/error messages due to mailbox quotas being
reached, I will unsubscribe the account from the regular list, and
resubscribe that same account to the linganth nightly digest list
(one message of whole day's postings sent each night, when messages
are sent). If I notice that account still bouncing after a week or
so, I'll remove that account from the digest distributions, too. If
you seem to get dropped unexpectedly, feel free to send an inquiry to
me at owner-linganth at ats.rochester.edu.
2) Please remember to unsubscribe from the Linganth list before an
account expires, or if you won't be reading that account often enough
to clear out your mailbox. Send your majordomo unsubscribe commands
to majordomo at ats.rochester.edu, or send an e-mail message to me at
owner-linganth at ats.rochester.edu giving me the e-mail address(es) to
drop; I'll be happy to remove your account from the list myself.
Thanks!
