Just a note that an article by me on the official English debates was just 
(FINALLY!) published in an edited volume.  This article is derived from (and 
would never have been written without) our 1998 AAA workshop on 
"anthropolitical linguistics," organized by Richard Senghas and Cindy Dunn.
