Thank you very much for this, Leila. I just e-mailed my NPR station from their website with the following request. Please feel free to plagiarize my request letter for your own!

Hello,

I would like to request that WBEZ air the new "Talkin' about Talk" radio series being co-sponsored by the College of Charleston (Charleston, SC) and the National Museum of Language near Washington, D.C. in honor of the "Year of Languages."

Information on the program is available here:

http://www.cofc.edu/linguist

I regularly use NPR broadcasts in my teaching, encouraging all my students to listen to WBEZ at the beginning of every semester. It would be fantastic to be able to use this language-focused program on WBEZ with my students in linguistic anthropology.

Thank you very much,

Emily McEwan-Fujita

contact their local radio stations to urge them to play "Talkin' about
Talk," a series of 52 5 minute radio pieces on different aspects of
language in honor of the Year of Languages, including some done by
linguistic anthropologists. If you have contacts with radio program
directors or are interested in promoting the program in your area,
information is below.
