I was also curious about the SLA list.  I did a little research last night
(google-ing actually) and I came up with this list-serv:
SLA at LISTSERV.SSCNET.UCLA.EDU.

There has been some email exchange regarding the AAA meetings in their
their October archives (including messages from Leanne Hinton).  You can
join this list by accessing this page:
