More than 40,000 Pakistanis have perished in the recent earthquake. The 
President of Pakistan has appealed to the world to donate generously for 
victims and survivors.  Before donating, please be sure that the 
organization or person collecting money is reliable.

In the US, people can mail checks made out to the President's Relief Fund to 
the Embassy of Pakistan at:

The Pakistan Government seeks assistance in the following areas:  Cargo 
helicopters, engineering plant equipment for reconstruction of roads, food, 
medicines, tents, and blankets.  Pakistan is self-sufficient in manpower 
enforcements.
