Just set up a linganth blog

In my experience, blogs and mailing-lists respond to quite different
needs. Getting academics involved in blog discussions is often much
more difficult than getting them to answer a mailing-list message.
Possibly because a blog is considered "more public" than a
mailing-list or because people spend more time in their mailreader
(including their webmail) than in their RSS aggregator.

Surely, other linganthers have worked on these types of online
communication systems and have more to say about this. In fact, I hope
I'm wrong in this case and that the blog can serve some of the same
purposes as the mailing-list.
