Attachments, anyone?--no thanks!

I prefer no attachments, too -- too much clutter, and very easy just
to paste in a link for something on a webpage.
For non-web attachments -- I can imagine, for example, people sending
syllabi -- is there a place on linguistlist where they can be
uploaded? That way anyone who wanted to could go and look at it, and
those who weren't interested wouldn't have big messages taking up
space -- as Claire points out, still an issue for lots of people.
