Attachments, anyone?--no thanks!

Just to add to the discussion...harmful attachments have never been a  
problem on the 4 listservs I tinker with.  When you have a  
distributed-based scholarship then attachments are a must, but if the  
listserv functions simply as an informational resource then  
attachments may not be as critical.  Too, the idea that attachments  
are fluff/cosmetic are not consistent with their high informational  
value among the more remote (rural/reservation) communities that I  
connect with and provide listserv space to.
