On Aardvark (a question-asking site), someone is asking about
Indo-European languages:
"How does the system of indicating past tense within Indo-European
languages differ from that of Germanic languages?"

Not sure if she means to ask how far Germanic languages have deviated
from other IE branches or something more specific about PIE, but I
thought it might be something some fellow LingAnthros might be able to
tackle.
