Intro Level Linguistic Anthropology

Here at the University of Pittsburgh, the Intro Anth Ling class is called Introduction to Language. I will try to get you a copy of the syllabus for any into Anth Ling courses here. I took my intro Ling Anth course at Millersville University and they also called it Intro to Language. That course included an overview of everything from historic linguistics to psychological, neurological, social, ... what else ... a very broad overview. I still have the books we used and my old notes and probably the syllabus. Please let me know where to send these to you. I can email, fax pdf, or mail.

Hello, all-

I'm seeking your input on introductory level linguistic anthropology classes.

Our undergraduate department of anthropology has grown to six anthropologists and I, as the resident linguistic anthropologist, have been given the go-ahead to abolish our upper level linguistic anthropology class, introduce an introductory level (000 level) linguistic anthropology class and develop three new upper level courses in linguistic anthropology. Imagine my excitement! One of our senior members thinks the basic, introductory level class should focus on structural and historical linguistics. 

I would appreciate knowing the focus of other introductory level linguistic anthropology classes taught in anthropology programs. Please reply to me directly and I will post a response with a compilation of results.
