CALL FOR EDITOR OF LANGUAGE IN SOCIETY

APPLICATION DEADLINE: August 31, 2012

Language in Society, published by Cambridge University Press, is seeking a new editor.  After an initial transition period, that person will be responsible for the planning and editing of the journal beginning with the 2014 volume.  

Applicants should be established scholars with academic credentials in sociolinguistics, broadly speaking, and with good organizational and decision-making skills. Although not required, editing experience is preferred. Compensation includes an expense budget from Cambridge University Press in addition to royalties from the publication of the journal.
