*Position Summary*



The School of Anthropology at the University of Arizona invites
applications for a full-time teaching-intensive Assistant Professor,
non-tenure eligible, for a three-semester appointment, starting January
2014 until June 2015.



The candidate must have Ph.D. in Anthropology, Linguistics, Applied
Linguistics, or a related discipline by the time of appointment. We seek a
candidate whose research combines qualitative and quantitative methods and
who has research experience doing ethnographic fieldwork.



The School is seeking an individual who is able to work with diverse
students and colleagues, and who has experience with a variety of teaching
methods and curricular perspectives. As an equal opportunity and

Geographic area and theoretical focus are open. The School of Anthropology

*Duties and Responsibilities*

   - Teach three courses per semester.

*Minimum Qualifications*

   - Ph.D. in Anthropology, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a related
   field, in hand by time of appointment.



*Preferred Qualifications*

   - Prior teaching experience.
