Please see -- and circulate widely -- the descriptions below for possible annual instructor positions at Rutgers, pending administrative approval.  While none of the listings is for a linguistic anthropologist per se, someone with expertise in this subfield would definitely be considered for the Cultural Anthro position, as I will be on leave next year. 1. Cultural Anthropology (2 positions)
 
The Department of Anthropology at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is collecting CVs for a possible one-year visiting instructor position in cultural anthropology in New Brunswick, New Jersey, for the 2014-2015 academic year, contingent on funding.  The candidate will teach five semester-long courses on such topics, such as, Latin America, religion, local-global systems, ethnographic film, visual anthropology, sexuality, medical anthropology, Africa, Islam, and law, justice, and rights.
 
ABD candidates will be considered, but candidates holding a Ph.D. are preferred.  Given the uncertain nature of this position, please send only a cover letter and a curriculum vitae. The candidate will teach five semester-long courses on such topics, such as, introduction to archaeology, analysis of archaeological data, lithics, prehistoric archaeology of Europe, and post-Pleistocene hominid adaptations.

The candidate will teach five semester-long courses on topics, such as, Faunal analysis, Introduction to archaeology, European archaeology, Pleistocene hominid adaptations, Evolution of Hominin Diet, Quantitative Methods in Archaeology, and North American archaeology.
