In addition, the Ethnograhic Terminalia collective is running an installation Wed Dec 3 - Sun Dec 7 on the theme "Bureau of Memories: Archives and Ephemera."
Some of the 20 or so exhibitors are linguists and folklorists. (I don't have the full list, but it will be released soon at: http://ethnographicterminalia.org )
Many will be delving into issues concerning field recordings, e.g. ethics, preservation, voice, etc. The Installation will nearby the conference hotel at the Hierarchy gallery, 1847 Columbia Rd. Hours noon - 8 pm, with opening reception on Friday Nov 5 at 7pm.
Kwame Phillips and I are contributing an installation entitled: Kabusha Radio Remix: Your Archive Questions Answered by Pioneering Zambian Talk Show Host, David Yumba (1923-1990)
