> The Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position in linguistic anthropology beginning July 1, 2015. We seek applications from linguistic anthropologists whose anthropological research is broadly concerned with the study of language within the context of cultural and social life as it articulates with the intersections of class, race, and/or gender.

> The ideal candidate’s research and teaching should interface with one or more of the areas of departmental strength. The successful candidate will be expected to teach lower-division as well as upper-division and graduate courses in his or her area of specialization. Candidates must be ABD at the time of application and must have a PhD. by the time of appointment (07/01/15). Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
