Position in Linguistic Anthropology

Anthropology invites applications for a tenure track position in linguistic
anthropology at the assistant professor rank. Applicant must have Ph.D. in
hand at time of application. Open to all areas of scholarship within
linguistic anthropology. Preference will be given to scholarship that
attends to the detailed analysis of languages, literacies, and/or situated
communicative practices as related to contemporary geopolitical contexts.
Areas of specialization may include global flows of languages and genres,
language and health disparities, language and environment, language and
politics, language and identity formations, language and unequal
childhoods, and language and (dis)ability. The department welcomes
candidates whose experience has prepared them to support and contribute to
