Hi all,
The memorial reception is next week. For those who are attending the AAA meetings, please join us if you can.
For those who would like to post tributes online, here is the site again. Thanks to those who have posted already. (Please email me if you have any trouble posting. It's unclear whether the site is censoring posts that use reported speech to fondly remember Jane's, um, colorful vocabulary.)
As a reminder, we are collecting photos. Please send to Dana Osborne: dmosborne at gmail.com
Thank you all for the outpouring of support. There will be future opportunities to contribute to some sort of fund in her name.

Dear Jennifer,
Where or how can those of us who didn't/couldn't make the memorial and won't be attending the AAA meetings post our thoughts re Jane? She supported me and my work when few did. I am deeply indebted to her and would like to say so more publically.
Very best, and hope all went as well as can be expected yesterday evening,
Anita

Dear ling anth colleagues,
Please spread the word about this recently scheduled memorial reception. AAA has generously agreed to sponsor the event and provide refreshments, and we will have a lineup of speakers paying tribute, as well as some video footage of Jane.
In addition, AAA will be making all of Jane's publications in AAA journals open source for the next 6 months.
I hope you can join us in honoring Jane.
