[Linganth] The 1st International Ethnolinguistic Congress

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Dear Colleagues,

we inform you about the 1st International Ethnolinguistic Congress, to be
held in Lublin (Poland) from June 21 to 25, 2020.

The objectives of the Congress are:

- presentation of the current state of the discipline, i.e. directions,
applied terms, research methods and postulates, and relevant
ethnolinguistic data;

- discussing relations of ethnolinguistics with other disciplines:
linguistic and cultural anthropology, dialectology, folklore, ethnography,
etymology, etc.;

- presentation of the most important (completed and implemented)
fundamental ethnolinguistic studies (dictionaries, lexicons, atlases) as
well as databases and files;

- presenting descriptions of selected cultural concepts within different
ethnolinguistic traditions: "folk", "national" and "transnational".

The Congress will be patronized by the Presidium of the Ethnolinguistic
Сommission of the International Committee of Slavists.
