[Linganth] CALL: Associate Editor Positions at JLA

Dear Members of the SLA Community,


*Journal of Linguistic Anthropology*, the flagship journal of the Society
for Linguistic Anthropology, is inviting applications for 2 Associate
Editors to work on a volunteer basis for the journal. This position will
assist the Editor-in-Chief, Sonia Das, in the initial review of
submissions, the generation of names for peer review, and in making
decisions about the status of manuscripts. Scholars with either wide or
specialized areas of expertise in linguistic anthropology are welcome to
apply.  Previous editorial experience is not required and applicants of all
ranks with Ph.D. will be considered. This is a one year position with the
possibility for renewal. If interested, please send a short letter and CV

interest, areas of expertise, and availability for this position. If you

The *Journal of Linguistic Anthropology* has increased its impact factor
from 1.083 to 1.872 and has been added to a new category in the Arts and
Humanities Citation Index, Language and Linguistics.  The incoming
editor-in-chief in August 2021 will be Sonia Das (New York University), who
will begin a second term as editor-in-chief with the journal, and we would
like to thank Chaise LaDousa (Hamilton College) for his term as
co-editor-in-chief for the past three years.
