Dear all,

Please share the following with any of your promising students for our
MA program,
as well as for our dual degree program (MA/MPH). We are four field, have a
dual degree, and have an applied option where students do an
intership/report ratherthan a thesis!

Our master’s degree program has tracks in Applied Anthropology, General
Anthropology, and Medical Anthropology (with a dual degree MA/MPH program
with public health). The application deadline for new students who would
want funding through an assistantship for any track is Jan 15, but
applications will be accepted until July 15.

If you would like more information please let me know. We believe our
degrees are valuable to anyone interested in working on community-based,
health-related issues. I would be happy to speak with any of your
interested students, if you put them in touch with me.

*UNC Charlotte is now accepting applications to our Anthropology MA program
and our Dual Degree program in Applied Medical Anthropology and Public
Health (MPH)*

UNC Charlotte offers a two-year MA program that has successfully prepared
students for work in public and private sectors, teaching anthropology, and
admittance into PhD programs in Anthropology and related disciplines.
Students interested in the two-year degree choose between either a general
track or an applied track based on professional interests.

UNC Charlotte’s dual degree program in Applied (Medical) Anthropology and
Public Health provides students the opportunity to bridge two complementary
disciplines in an effort to understand and address public health issues
from a holistic perspective. Our innovative curriculum allows students to
complete both degrees in 3 years (see the dual degree course of study at
https://anthropology.uncc.edu/graduate/dual-degree-program-information). This
program emphasizes the cultural and social dimensions of health and disease
in an effort to effectively improve health outcomes. Students will be
equipped to tackle health-related social justice issues including health
disparities in local communities and abroad. We welcome applicants from
other fields who have done some coursework in Anthropology.

for the dual degree program. We usually have several teaching or research

2022. Students can apply until July 15 for admission, and no GRE scores are
