Dear colleagues,
I am compiling academic publications on the topic of language shaming in
social media. Language shaming, broadly defined, can include instances of
social media discourse that deride, disparage or demean particular ways of
using language (Piller, 2017). Published literature can include this line
of work under various titles and notions, e.g. language discrimination,
language mocking, language bullying and so on in the context of minoritized
or global language use, communicative style, accent...
If you are aware of any work from the social media context, please let me
know at sharma.bal.kri at gmail.com.
Best wishes
