Hello all,

SLA is proud to launch a mentoring program as a way to foster connections between senior scholars and professionals with more junior scholars and emerging professionals.

Below are two links to fill out for those who are interested in participating in the mentoring program. The first is a link for senior scholars/professionals who wish to participate as mentors. The second is a link for junior scholars who wish to participate as mentors. We ask all who are interested in participating in the program to fill out the appropriate Google form by June 7th, 2023.

Since this is the first year that we are launching an official mentoring program, we will be only selecting a few mentors and mentees at this initial stage. Mentor/mentee pairings will receiving additional information and support from the SLA Program Committee over the duration of the summer and into the fall. Individuals who are selected will be based on mutual interests listed on the google forms above.

SLA is also planning a mentoring event at AAA. The event will feature some of our mentor/mentee pairings and serve as a forum to help grow this program. (More information about date/time of Mentoring Event TBD).
