Hi all,
I am looking for recommended references on critical discourse analysis of institutional discourse for one of my students. The data are policy documents such as strategic plans, web site documents promoting a particular initiative, advertisements for seminars or other gatherings related to the policies and plans. The idea is to compare such data from different organizations (e.g. government agency, a university, an NGO) around a given topic (e.g. environmentally sustainable forms of transportation).
Can anyone suggest some instructive examples for how to go about such an analysis or some key sources to get into the relevant literature?
thanks,
Karen
