Dear colleagues -

I hope you are all having a good summer.

I am writing with some exciting news! My book, *Living Together Across
Borders: Communicative Care in Transnational Salvadoran Families
<https://global.oup.com/academic/product/living-together-across-borders-9780197755785>*
has just been published!

I wanted to let you know, as you are one of the people I name in the
acknowledgements. Thank you!

*The book *tells the stories of extended families living stretched between
a rural Salvadoran village and the urban locations in the United States
where their migrant relatives live. It focuses on their cross-border
conversations, demonstrating that this communication is a vital resource
for enacting care-at-a-distance.

I am attaching a book flyer with a *discount code* that makes the paperback
quite affordable. There is also an e-book version that you might ask your
library to purchase. In addition, I developed a *teaching guide* for the
book, which I am attaching here as well. (It can also be found at this
companion
website <https://global.oup.com/us/companion.websites/9780197755747/>).

I intentionally wrote the book to be accessible to interdisciplinary
scholars and to students. The book would be a good fit for courses on
linguistic anthropology, migration, media, globalization and
transnationalism, Latin America, family and kinship, language
socialization, language and gender, and more.

I am also open to invitations for book talks and class visits in the coming
academic year.

If you do end up teaching the book or a chapter, please do let me know how
it goes!

best,
--
