> The Linguistics Program at Binghamton University (SUNY) (https://www.binghamton.edu/linguistics/) invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Linguistics. We seek candidates with a specialization in historical linguistics, historical language change, quantitative language change, or language evolution. The selected candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, to mentor undergraduate and graduate students, to conduct and publish research, to attend and present research findings at national and international conferences and to pursue external research funding. The successful applicant will also help create and supervise a language laboratory, which will address their own research needs as well as serve to train students interested in linguistic analysis. The selected candidate is also expected to participate in regular service activities for the program and university.
