The Department of Anthropology at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring a tenure-track cultural anthropologist whose research and teaching expertise focus on race, racialization, and well-being in the Americas. The Department of Anthropology at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in cultural anthropology. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching expertise focus on race and processes of racialization as these impact health and holistic well-being among marginalized communities in the Americas. Successful applicants will possess a record of theoretically attuned ethnographic research, energetic future research plans, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and commitment to public and community-based scholarship. In addition to expertise in race and racialization, areas of expertise might include medical anthropology or public health, with focus on topics like structural marginalization, intergenerational and socioeconomic impacts of racism, inclusion and belonging, the politics of health and well-being, Indigeneity, health inequity, environmental justice, migration and global diasporas, kinship and reproduction, gender and sexuality, language and discourse, and education.
